Cardiology APP – Heart Failure Inpatient (Illinois)

Assignment Details

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Length: 3 months

Schedule: Full-time; 4x10s preferred, 3x12s accepted

Shift Hours:

10-hour shifts: 8p–6a

12-hour shifts: 6p–6a

Coverage Need: Full-time nights

Credentialing: 60–90 days; attempt to grant temps in ~30 days with clean file

Clinical Details

Setting: Inpatient hospital (824 beds)

Department: Heart Failure service

Support Staff: RNs, techs, admin, heart failure physicians

Patient Volume: ~15 patients per shift

Population: Adult/Geriatric

Procedures: None required

EMR: EPIC

Case Types:

Post-transplant patients (any organ)

High-dose inotropes

Pre-transplant patients

Frequent re-admissions for cardiac decompensation

No ICU responsibilities

Required Skills

Experience with transplant or immunosuppression management (any organ type acceptable)

Strong cardiac background preferred

Able to manage high-acuity floor patients independently
