Facility:
This facility is a Level II Trauma Center that provides comprehensive cardiovascular services to the community. The hospital features a well-established CVICU with strong physician support and is currently experiencing program expansion, offering excellent professional growth opportunities.

NP/PA - Cardiovascular

Job Details:
• Full-time coverage from August through January, with PRN opportunities thereafter
• Work 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week including weekends, nights, and weekdays
• No call requirements
• Hospital-based setting covering the CVICU with average census of 8-12 patients
• Patient population includes vascular patients requiring neuro checks and post cardiovascular surgery patients
• Perform thoracentesis and chest tube insertions and removals
• Place central venous and dialysis catheters
• Place arterial lines and intra-aortic balloon pumps
• May assist with cardiovascular surgery consults on weekend shifts
• Work autonomously with supervising physician on-site during day shift and available by phone at night
• Intensivists available 24/7 on-site during the day and on call from home at night
• Staffing includes 2 APPs on day shift and 1 APP on night shift
• Documentation system: EPIC
• Must have Board Certification (AANP or NCPA), active Michigan license, ACLS, BLS through AHA
• Minimum 3 years experience required with acute care training and certification
• Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days
• Facility provides reimbursement for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rate
