Cardiovascular Surgery PA Locum Opportunity – Torrance, CA

Job description

Start : June
Assignment Length: 13 weeks (ongoing potential)
Openings: 1–2 providers

Schedule:

Day shifts: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Call: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Call rotation: 1:2 (shared with one other PA)
Includes every other weekend call and ~2 weekday call shifts per week
Schedule subject to adjustment based on case volume

Practice Setting:

Inpatient and outpatient
EMR: Epic

Work Details:

Patient volume: 5–8 per shift
Responsibilities include inpatient post-op rounding, first assisting in surgery, and clinic coverage
Skills required: Endoscopic and radial artery harvesting, interpretation of EKGs, imaging, and labs
Experience with ECMO, IABP, and Impella required
Support staff available

Requirements:

Board Certified
Active California license required
DEA required
ACLS and BLS required

Credentialing:

Approximately 60 days (may be expedited for candidates with a clean file)
