Opportunity:
Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery

Job Details:
• Provide cardiovascular/cardiothoracic surgery support with 5-8 patient encounters per shift
• Floor shifts scheduled 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM with 30-minute unpaid lunch
• On-call coverage from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM next day with 1:2 call schedule
• Split call 50/50 with one other PA including every other weekend coverage
• Round on post-operative inpatients and provide comprehensive follow-up care
• First assist in cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgical procedures
• See patients in outpatient clinic settings
• Perform endoscopic and radial artery harvesting procedures
• Interpret EKGs, X-rays, and laboratory results
• Manage ECMO, IABP, and Impella devices
• Must maintain active California PA license and California DEA registration
• Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
• Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime after 8 hours
• Credentialing timeframe 60-90 days depending on file completeness

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
