General Cardiology NP/PA Locums Opportunity – San Francisco, CA
Job description
Highlights:
• Long-term 23-week assignment with a consistent 3x12 schedule
• Inpatient General Cardiology practice with strong physician support

Opportunity Details
Location: California
Assignment Length:
• 23 Weeks
Schedule:
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Weekend and holiday coverage required
• Typically 2–3 weekend shifts per month
• Rotating holiday schedule
Practice Details:
• Inpatient hospital setting
• Non-ICU
• Adult patient population
• Average census of 6–7 patients per day
• Attending physician rounds with APP each morning
• APP manages daily coordination of care, consults, progress notes, multidisciplinary rounds, discharge planning, and admissions
• May provide coverage for post-cardiac procedure patients
Clinical Focus:
• General Cardiology patients with concurrent medical conditions
• Heart failure
• Diabetes
• Renal failure
• Complex medical management
Requirements:
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC, AGACNP-BC, ACNPC-AG, or ACNPC) or Physician Assistant
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient cardiology experience
• Minimum 1 year managing hospitalized medicine patients
• Strong documentation, assessment, discharge planning, and care coordination skills
• Experience in cardiac critical care, cardiac procedure services, or cath lab environments may also be considered
Practice Environment:
• Academic Medical Center
• Collaborative team of APPs, residents, and attending physicians
• EPIC EMR
