Job Details:

• Seeking 1 Locum Tenens Cardiovascular PA for inpatient clinic and call coverage with shifts available in July and August, as well as ongoing gap coverage
• Provider must have a clean file including a clean NPDB, clean malpractice history (dismissed and dropped cases included), and a clean background check
• Active California license required - licensed in CA only; DEA required; Board Certified only
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days; note that July or early August start will be contingent on approval from the medical staff office for temporary privileges, with mid-August as an alternative start
• Floor shifts are 7:30am - 4:00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break
• On-call shifts run 6:00pm - 7:00am (beeper call); start time may vary depending on scheduled cases
• Call type includes weeknight beeper call and 24-hour weekend beeper call
• Guaranteed 8 hours per day; overtime applies after 8 hours per day
• Patient encounters per shift: 5-8
• Responsibilities include rounding on inpatient post-operative patients, first assisting in surgery, and seeing patients in clinic
• Required skills include endoscopic and radial artery harvesting, EKG interpretation, X-ray and lab interpretation, ECMO, IABP, and Impella
• Specific shift dates available in July and August with ongoing shifts to follow
