The facility offers a collaborative and supportive environment where advanced practice providers play a vital role in patient care across the OR, ICU, and outpatient clinic.

Advanced Practice - Physician Assistant - Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery
Job Details:
- Locum Tenens Physician Assistant opportunity providing bench coverage for ongoing cardiothoracic surgery needs
- Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM in an integrated clinic/hospital setting
- Clinic is located inside the hospital, allowing OR assist, rounding, and clinic responsibilities to all be performed within a single day
- Call schedule is 1:2, splitting call 50/50 with one other PA
- Weekday call runs from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following morning during call rotation
- Weekend call runs from 3:00 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday during weekend rotation
- Call-back frequency is approximately 1-2 times per month
- Guaranteed 8 hours per day with overtime applicable after 8 hours
- 5-8 patient encounters per shift
- Must be able to perform radial and endoscopic vein harvesting
- Must be able to interpret EKGs, X-rays, and labs
- Must have experience with ECMO, IABP, and Impella
- OR assist responsibilities required
- ICU and step-down patient management required
- Active California license and California DEA are required
- Board certification required; ACLS and BLS certifications required
- 3-5 years of cardiothoracic surgery experience highly preferred
- Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60-90 days
- Start date September 14, 2026, with ongoing coverage needs
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
