Physician Assistant -Cath/EP - New York

Job description

Contract Lengeth: 3 months with the option to extend

Position Details:
Total Openings: 3 Physician Assistants
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Shift Length: 12–14 hours
Weekly Schedule: Typically 4 shifts per week (full-time hours)
No scheduled weekends or holidays
EMR-Epic

On-Call Requirements:
On-call coverage required for weekends and holidays
30-minute response time required for STEMI call
Procedures typically last 1–2 hours
Participation in call is preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities:
First assist in cardiac catheterization procedures at bedside
Provide procedural support within the Cath Lab
Assist with patient care in pre-procedure and recovery areas
Perform patient assessments and support clinical decision-making
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and Cath Lab staff to ensure efficient workflow

Volume & Workflow:
Lab volume: Approximately 15–20 cases per day
Providers typically manage 6–10 cases per 10–12 hour shift
Two providers staffed per day

Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Active and unrestricted New York Medical License license
NO DEA is needed
Prior Cath Lab or cardiology experience preferred
Ability to function effectively in a procedural and acute care setting
