Cardiac Surgeon Locum Opportunity | Georgia

Specialty: Cardiac Surgeon
Location: Georgia
Start Date: January 2027
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120 Days
Licensure: Georgia License Required (IMLC candidates will be considered)

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Approximately two weekend call shifts per month
Call begins Friday at 5:00 PM and concludes Monday at 8:00 AM
Practice Details
310-bed hospital
Adult patient population
Clinic volume: 5-10 patients per day
Approximately 4-6 cardiac surgical cases per week, including weekends
Support from 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), who share the weekend call schedule
Case Mix & Procedures

The ideal candidate should be comfortable performing a broad range of cardiac surgical procedures, including:

Open-heart surgery
Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
Aortic disease surgery
Other complex cardiovascular procedures
Requirements
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
Completion of an accredited American thoracic and cardiovascular surgery training program preferred
Active Georgia license preferred (IMLC considered)
DEA required
Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
