About the clinician's workday
The cardiologist will provide clinic-based cardiovascular care Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, managing an average of 20-25 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include performing cardioversions, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), pacemaker insertions and battery changes, and loop recorder insertions and removals. The clinician will also interpret Bardy and Zio monitor reports and read cardiac studies including echocardiograms, nuclear studies, Lexiscan, stress echocardiograms, and exercise treadmill studies. Weekend 24-hour call coverage is required two days per month, with weeknight beeper call responsibilities as part of this assignment.
