About the facility

This 115-bed facility holds a Trauma II designation and maintains the clinical infrastructure necessary to support clinic and inpatient cardiovascular disease management on an on-site basis. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR for patient documentation and care coordination. Established clinical protocols and support staff, including one APP and a medical assistant, are in place to facilitate care delivery throughout the assignment period.

Marion, Illinois and the surrounding Southern Illinois region offer clinicians on assignment a range of outdoor and community activities. The area provides access to Shawnee National Forest, multiple golf courses, and 14 public parks, alongside venues that host motorcycle festivals, card shows, reptile exhibitions, and live music performances. Dining, shopping, and regional exploration are available throughout Williamson County and the broader Southern Illinois area.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide general cardiology coverage across clinic and inpatient settings on an on-site basis in Illinois, managing conditions that include coronary artery disease, hypertension, and heart failure. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, encompassing clinic visits with a volume of 11-20 patients per day and inpatient rounding of 1-3 patients per day. After-hours call coverage is required and is structured as tele-only. All clinical documentation is to be completed using the EPIC EMR system. Board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases and prescriptive authority are required for consideration.
