General Cardiologist Locums –New York | Long-Term Coverage

Job description

We are seeking a Board-Certified General Cardiologist for a long-term locum tenens opportunity in Northern New York. This assignment offers a primarily outpatient practice with stress test supervision and the opportunity for additional consultative coverage.

Assignment Details
Start Date: ASAP (anticipated August 2026)
Assignment Length: 6–9 months
Schedule: 3 weeks per month
Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Practice Setting:
Primarily outpatient cardiology practice
Solo physician practice model
Current APP support through September
EMR: Epic

Clinical Responsibilities:
Outpatient cardiology clinic (approximately 3 days per week)
Supervision of stress tests (approximately 1 day per week)
Occasional call coverage (4:00 PM – 8:00 AM) as needed

Requirements:
Board Certified in Cardiology
Active New York license
AHA or RQI certifications required

Preferred Qualifications:
Board certified to interpret cardiac imaging studies
Experience reading nuclear stress tests

Additional Information:
Long-term need due to provider transition
Opportunity to establish continuity within a community-based cardiology practice
