The facility maintains established protocols for cardiovascular care, including Cardiac ICU management, and operates with back-up support from Interventional, EP, and Heart Failure teams. Clinical infrastructure is in place to support on-site coverage with APP assistance on every shift.

About the clinician's workday

This inpatient locum tenens position requires general cardiology coverage during weekend night shifts, with Friday through Sunday evening shifts preferred. The cardiologist will provide in-house night call coverage for Cardiac ICU admissions and management, including STEMI, unstable VT, VF, and cardiogenic shock, with Interventional, EP, and Heart Failure teams available as home back-up. Clinicians must hold board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases and demonstrate proficiency in ECG and echocardiogram reading; an active North Carolina license and DEA are required. An APP will support the clinician on all shifts throughout the coverage period.
