General Cardiologist - Locum Tenens

About the Facility:
This opportunity is located within an acute care hospital setting with a 150-bed facility. The cardiology department includes one full-time physician and provides both clinic-based care and procedural services.

The cardiology team is supported by advanced practice providers and works collaboratively with interventional cardiology when general cardiology coverage is provided.

Department Details:

Clinic-based cardiology services
In-lab procedures performed approximately 3 days per week
Support staff includes APP coverage
Interventional cardiology support available when needed

Compensation:

Job Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive general cardiology care in clinic and hospital settings.
Evaluate and manage adult cardiology patients.
Perform cardiology procedures and diagnostic services.
Interpret nuclear cardiology studies and stress tests.
Perform and interpret echocardiograms, including TEE.
Manage cardioversions and echo monitoring.
Provide inpatient call coverage, including nights and weekends.
Participate in scheduled rounding responsibilities during call periods.
Collaborate with APPs, interventional cardiologists, and hospital teams.
Deliver high-quality patient-centered cardiology care.

Qualifications:
Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Cardiology.
Must be nuclear boarded.
Must be echo boarded.
CT board certification preferred but not required.
Active Pennsylvania medical license required (IMLC accepted only).
DEA registration required.
Minimum of 1 year of cardiology experience required.
Candidates with a clean credentialing file may qualify for temporary privileges.
Credentialing timeframe: Temporary privileges available with a clean file.

July 27–31: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
July 31: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Call)
August 1–2: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-Hour Call)
August 10–14: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
August 24–28: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
September 8–11: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
September 21–25: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
September 25: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Call)
September 26–27: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-Hour Call)
October 5–9: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
October 19–23: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
October 23: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Call)
October 24–25: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-Hour Call)
November 2–6: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
November 16–20: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
November 30–December 4: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
December 4: 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Night Call)
December 5–6: 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM (24-Hour Call)
December 14–18: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Additional Schedule Information:

Candidate should be available for all listed dates; 1–2 weeks of requested time off may be considered.
Includes approximately 1–2 nights of call per week.
Includes approximately 1:4–5 weekend call coverage.
Weekend call averages include rounding responsibilities.
