Inpatient Cardiology Locums – Seattle Metro Blocks (WA License Required, Feb–Jul 2026)
Job description
Join a well-established cardiology team in the Seattle metro area for a series of one-week inpatient blocks running from February through early July 2026. This is an excellent match for a non-invasive cardiologist who enjoys acute inpatient medicine, advanced cardiac diagnostics, and the flexibility of true block scheduling.
You’ll be based at a regional heart & vascular center that serves as a referral hub for its region, with comprehensive cardiac services and modern imaging. The cardiology clinic is located on the same campus as the main hospital, making rounding, consults, and collaboration with colleagues efficient and seamless.
Schedule & Call:
• Blocked coverage for specific weeks between Feb–Jul 2026
• Inpatient days: 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Night pager: 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
• Must be willing and able to cover both inpatient days and night call (no “days-only” or “call-only” options)
Clinical Scope:
• Inpatient cardiology consults and rounding (typical census ~15–18 patients/day)
• Non-invasive cardiology focus, including:
o Echocardiography
o Transesophageal echo (TEE)
o Nuclear Cardiology
• Epic EMR
• Collaborative team with cardiologists, APPs, and dedicated cardiac support staff
Why Cardiologists Like This Assignment:
• Flexible block model: Stack weeks together or spread them out across the spring and early summer for an ideal work–life balance.
• Return to the same team: Work with the same group, same processes, and same EMR each time you come back—no “relearning” a new hospital every week.
• Lifestyle: Waterfront city 25 miles north of Seattle with access to hiking, skiing, boating, and a vibrant arts and food scene in nearby Seattle and the Puget Sound region.
• Professional growth: Inpatient practice within a busy heart center—ideal if you like acute cardiology in a well-supported, structured environment.
