General/Invansive Cardiologist - Six-Month Locum Assignment with Clinic, Inpatient Coverage, and Call
Job description
Aya Locums is partnering with a hospital-based cardiology team that needs a General Cardiologist for approximately six months of coverage beginning in September 2026.
The regular schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. This is a mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient cardiology, including consultations, rounding, admissions, and continued management of patients 18 and older. The average daily volume is approximately 13 patients.
Call is expected about one week every six weeks. During that week, the cardiologist would cover weekday evenings followed by 24-hour call on Saturday and Sunday. Weeknight call, weekend call, and callbacks are compensated separately.
The team is looking for someone with invasive cardiology experience as well as Cardiac CT or CTA capabilities. We are confirming the exact procedural expectations, required case volume, and whether cath lab privileges will be needed. The facility uses Epic, and the cardiologist should be comfortable moving between the inpatient and outpatient sides of the practice.
Candidates must be an MD or DO and board certified in Cardiovascular Disease. A Washington license will be needed in time for the assignment. Cardiologists using the IMLC may also be considered if their Letter of Qualification is already in hand and there is enough time to secure the Washington license before the start date.
Active ACLS, recent cardiology activity within the past 24 months, and documentation supporting the requested privileges will also be needed. The client prefers at least two years of experience along with prior Epic use.
Even when this particular assignment is not the right fit, I would still be glad to learn what would be ideal for you - including your preferred states, schedule, rate, call structure, and clinical focus - so I can keep an eye out for something that makes better sense. worthwhile for you.
