Invasive Cardiologist MD/DO - Six-Month Locum Coverage in Washington

Job description

Aya Locums is partnering with a hospital-based cardiology program seeking an Invasive Cardiologist for approximately six months of coverage beginning in September 2026.

The regular schedule is Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The cardiologist will work across both the inpatient and outpatient settings, including clinic, consultations, rounding, admissions, and continued management of adult cardiology patients. Average daily volume is approximately 13 patients.

Call is expected about one week every six weeks. During the assigned call week, coverage includes weekday evenings followed by 24-hour weekend call on Saturday and Sunday.

The clinical need includes Invasive Cardiology along with Cardiac CT or CTA capabilities. Recent case documentation will be needed to support the privileges requested, and the exact procedural scope can be reviewed as interest develops rather than assuming every invasive procedure is part of the assignment.

The facility uses Epic and is seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist with ACLS and recent active Cardiology experience.

A Washington medical license will be needed for the assignment. Cardiologists with an active Washington license are welcome, and physicians using the IMLC may also be considered when their Letter of Qualification is already in hand and there is enough time to complete the Washington license.

Even if this particular assignment is not the right fit, I would still welcome the chance to learn what would make locums worthwhile for you - including your preferred schedule, states, clinical mix, call preferences, and the type of Cardiology work you most enjoy.

  • Inpatient and outpatient cardiology with shared call
  • Invasive Cardiology with Cardiac CT or CTA
  • Six-month assignment beginning September 2026
