About the facility

This Level II facility is in the process of building out its Cardiology department and maintains the clinical infrastructure necessary to support inpatient and clinic-based cardiovascular disease management on an on-site basis. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR for patient documentation and care coordination. Established clinical protocols and support staff, including three APPs, are in place to facilitate effective care delivery throughout the assignment period.

Madison, Wisconsin and the Greater Madison Area offer clinicians on assignment a range of cultural and community activities throughout the year. The area features outdoor markets, live music, food festivals, and art celebrations across its downtown and surrounding neighborhoods, along with a growing restaurant scene and ongoing farmers markets. Nearby communities such as Verona, New Glarus, and Sun Prairie further extend the range of accessible regional activities available during time away from clinical duties. New hospitality developments, including boutique hotel openings planned for 2026, add to the range of accommodations and experiences available in the region.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians will provide non-invasive cardiovascular coverage across inpatient and clinic settings at an on-site facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Clinic duties are scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and inpatient rounding hours run from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with call coverage required as part of the assignment schedule. Clinical responsibilities include inpatient rounding, clinic visits, and diagnostic reads, with three APPs available to support daily clinical operations. All clinical documentation is to be completed using the EPIC EMR system. Board certification in Cardiovascular Diseases and prescriptive authority are required for consideration.
