New Aya Locums Opportunity you Don’t want to Miss! We are seeking an Adolescent Psychiatrist for an ongoing assignment in San Francisco, CA. Please see below for details!
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday/Tuesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm on site and then night call after until 8:00am; Weekends: Generally 6 hrs of rounding starting at 8am. Once provider finishes rounding, they'll be on call until 8am the following day; Call requirements: Night call Mon/Tues and 24 hr coverage + rounding on weekends. For night call there is an expectation that they will need to place admission orders for anyone accepting that will arrive during that shift as well
Practice Setting: Hospital
Assignment Details: Patients per day: 6- 12
License: Active CA License Required *Willing to License*
Experience:
• Strong knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses, treatment approaches, psychopharmacology, and psychotherapy techniques.
• Experience evaluating, prescribing, and managing psychiatric medications for children and adolescents.
• Understanding of adolescent development and family dynamics.
• Ability to create individualized treatment plans while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families/guardians.
• Experience managing challenging adolescent behaviors using therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, oversee patient care, and provide guidance to other healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to provide culturally sensitive care that meets the diverse needs of patients and families.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
• Knowledge of legal requirements, educational resources, and safeguarding protocols related to adolescent behavioral health.
Requirements: Must be Board Certified in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) or Board Certified in General Psychiatry with completion of a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship.
Credentialing: 60-90 Days
