New Locums Opportunity in Connecticut - Pediatric Psychiatrist

Job description

Aya Locums is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist for a full-time locum opportunity beginning January 2027.

Position Details
-Start Date: January 2027
-Practice Areas: Consult & Liaison Service, Integrated Medical Psychiatry Unit
-Patients Per Day:
Consult Service: 5–15
Integrated Medical Psychiatry Unit: 4–10
Patient Population: Ages 3–21 (primarily 6–18)
Telepsychiatry: Not available except in very rare circumstances

Support: Consult & Liaison providers are paired with Psychology and oversee residents/fellows. Integrated Medical Psychiatry providers are paired with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Requirements
-Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
-1–3 years of inpatient psychiatry or Psychiatric Emergency Department experience preferred
-Connecticut license strongly preferred
-Providers with IMLC eligibility will be considered, but licensure may require an additional 2–3 months beyond credentialing

Credentialing
-Privileging timeframe: Approximately 3–4 months.
