Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Needed in Hartford, CT | Consult-Liaison + Med-Psych | No Call

Job description

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) child and adolescent psychiatry opportunity at a children's hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, covering the Consult & Liaison service and the Integrated Med-Psych Unit. The schedule is Monday-Friday day shifts with no call, and the target start is January 2027. Privileging runs approximately three to four months.

The physician serves a pediatric and adolescent population ages 3-21 (primarily 6-18). Volume runs 5-15 patients per day on the Consult service and 4-10 per day on the Integrated Med-Psych Unit. The role is well supported: the Consult-Liaison service is always paired with psychology and oversees residents and fellows, and the integrated care work is always paired with a PMHNP. Telepsychiatry is generally not available for this role.

Candidates should be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, with at least one to three years of inpatient psychiatry or psychiatric ED experience, an active Connecticut license (IMLC accepted), and a DEA.
