Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and medication management for patients with mental health and behavioral health conditions. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience working with diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and mental health assessments.
Diagnose and treat a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral health conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Provide medication management and monitor treatment effectiveness.
Perform follow-up assessments and make appropriate treatment adjustments.
Evaluate patients for risk of suicide, self-harm, or harm to others when clinically indicated.
Maintain accurate and timely medical records and clinical documentation.
Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, nurses, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medications, and follow-up care.
Participate in treatment planning and case conferences as required.
Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and organizational policies and regulations.
Provide crisis intervention and psychiatric consultation when needed.
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
Current and unrestricted Psychiatrist license in the state of practice.
Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry, as applicable.
Current DEA registration, if required for the position.
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment-planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience providing psychiatric services in hospitals, outpatient clinics, behavioral health facilities, correctional facilities, or community mental health settings.
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
Experience treating patients with co-occurring mental health and substance-use disorders.
