This inpatient child and adolescent psychiatry unit provides structured psychiatric services for pediatric patients requiring evaluation, stabilization, and ongoing treatment. The unit is supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes registered nurses, medical assistants, and advanced practice clinicians to facilitate coordinated care delivery. Locum tenens coverage is sought to maintain continuity of psychiatric services within this dedicated inpatient environment.

About the clinician's workday

The clinician will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric care for children and adolescents on a 7 days on/7 days off schedule, working 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM on-site each day. The average daily census ranges from 6 to 10 patients, with clinical responsibilities including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and treatment planning. Call coverage is required for this position; the clinician serves as second call to the APP, resulting in a low callback burden. Board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and prescriptive authority are required.
