This healthcare system is a well-established regional medical center serving the behavioral health needs of its community. The facility features a 10-bed inpatient acute psychiatric unit with strong provider support, including an APP serving as first call to minimize physician callback burden.

Physician - Psychiatry - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Job Details:

• Locum Tenens opportunity with a target start date of 8/17 or 8/31
• Block schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off (Monday to Monday)
• Onsite coverage from 7a-5p with evening beeper call during the 7-day shift
• Coverage required every day including weekends
• Physicians serve as second call with APP as first call, resulting in extremely low callback burden
• 10-bed inpatient acute psychiatric unit with 6-10 patient encounters per shift
• Must hold an active Ohio license or IMLC
• Board certification required; credentialing timeframe approximately 15-30 days
• BLS and PALS certifications required
• Experience with acute inpatient psychiatric unit required
• Must be proficient in managing anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, and psychotic disorders
• Experience with involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, and restraint application required
• Pharmacotherapy experience required
