Job description
Aya Locums is seeking a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for a locum tenens assignment at an outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic in Oklahoma. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive psychiatric care to children, adolescents and families in a collaborative, supportive setting.
Assignment Details
• Start Date: November 2026
• Coverage: Scheduled shifts; no call
• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Hours: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
• Setting: Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic
• Hybrid schedule available with at least 50% onsite coverage
• Patient volume: Minimum of 8 encounters per day; typical volume of 12–16 patients daily
• Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
Responsibilities
• Evaluate, diagnose and treat pediatric and adolescent patients
• Provide medication management, therapy services or both, as appropriate
• Manage conditions including ADHD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, psychotic disorders, eating disorders and autism
• Assess crisis situations and self-harm risk
• Provide psychiatric consultations to Behavioral Health, Primary Care and other clinical staff
• Occasionally consult with the inpatient medical unit
• Coordinate care with therapists, social workers and other clinical services
• Provide ongoing support and follow-up care, including for patients from Riverside Indian School
• Document all patient encounters in the electronic health record

Requirements
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
• Child and Adolescent Psychiatry training and experience required
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program
• At least five years of post-residency experience, including two years treating pediatric patients
• Current, unrestricted U.S. medical license
• Current DEA license
• State CDS license, if required
• Experience with DSM-5 diagnostic assessment, psychopharmacology, therapy and treatment planning
