Locum Pediatric Neurologist | Children's Hospital | Toledo, OH | 7-Day Inpatient Stretches | Local Only

Job description

Start: December 1, 2026 (or as soon as credentialed)
Length: 6 months (through June 1, 2027)
Coverage: Pediatric neurology inpatient rounding and call, plus optional clinic weeks
Schedule: 7-day in-house stretches with 8 hours in house per day; clinic Mon–Fri, 8:00–17:00 (any number of clinic days welcome)
Call: Weeknight and weekend beeper call, 16 hours per day during the 7-day stretch; unrestricted
Volume: About 10 patient encounters and 3 admissions per day; 8–16 clinic patients per day
Practice Setting: Children's hospital (160+ beds) and outpatient clinic
Patient Population: Pediatrics, ages 0–17
Procedures: EEG reading

• Inpatient rounding, admissions, and consults for pediatric neurology patients
• Outpatient pediatric neurology clinic (optional, a bonus)
• EEG interpretation
• Supported by MA, RN, and PSC staff; full ancillary services on site
• Documentation in Epic
• Conversion to employed status may be considered

Requirements
• Board Certified in Child Neurology
• Active Ohio license required
• DEA, Ohio CSR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and ATLS required
• COVID-19 and flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Virtual interview required
• Local candidates only
• Credentialing: approximately 30 days; temporary privileges available
