Locum to Perm Medical Geneticist | Pediatric Hospital Outpatient + Consults | St. Louis, MO | Mon-Thu

Job description

Start: December 14, 2026
Length: 26 weeks, locum to perm or permanent
Coverage: Outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and call
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8a-5p
Call: Night and weekend call
Volume: 4-5 patients per day, may increase with an additional provider
Practice Setting: Academic, hospital-based outpatient clinic with inpatient consults at a 195-bed Level I Pediatric Trauma Center
Patient Population: Primarily pediatrics with occasional adults
Procedures: General genetics evaluations, biochemical and metabolic disorder management, inpatient consults (PICU, NICU, pediatric ward)
EMR: Epic
Support Staff: Genetic counselors, genetic nurse, genetic counseling assistant

Requirements:
- Board certified in genetics
- Strong diagnostic skills in genetics and experience with metabolic conditions
- Ability to collaborate closely with genetic counselors
- 2-5 years of experience minimum
- Active Missouri license (licensure candidates considered)
- Illinois license highly preferred for occasional telehealth consults
- DEA and Missouri BNDD
- BLS
- Credentialing: approximately 90 days
