Job description

A leading healthcare organization is seeking a highly qualified EEG Physician for an ongoing 100% remote locum tenens opportunity. This position offers the flexibility of telehealth-based neurophysiology coverage while providing critical EEG interpretation services for patients ranging from neonates to adults.

Position Details
Specialty: Neurology – EEG / Clinical Neurophysiology
Location: 100% Remote
Start Date: June 12, 2026
Coverage Need: Immediate and ongoing
Schedule: 24 shifts per month (July–September)
Shift Length: 24-hour coverage shifts
Patient Population: Neonatal through adult

Clinical Responsibilities
Interpret routine EEG studies
Interpret continuous EEG (cEEG) monitoring
Review ambulatory EEG studies
Read ICU EEG studies as applicable
Identify and characterize:
Seizures
Epileptiform discharges
Encephalopathy patterns
Other abnormal EEG findings
Provide wet reads and communicate urgent findings to care teams
Complete timely preliminary and final reports
Collaborate with EEG technologists and referring providers

Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology (ABPN)
Child Neurology certification with the ability to interpret EEGs across all age groups, including neonatal patients
Fellowship training in Clinical Neurophysiology and/or Epilepsy
Board Certification in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology strongly preferred
Eligible for credentialing and privileging
Comfortable practicing independently in a fully remote environment

Licensure Requirements

Candidates must possess one of the following:

Active medical licenses in Oklahoma, Indiana, Missouri, Washington, and Florida, OR
Active participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

We will assist with licensing through the IMLC
