This medical center operates a robust laboratory practice with comprehensive pathology services. The facility features a well-staffed laboratory team including multiple pathologists, histotechs, tech assistants, and cytotechnologists, providing excellent support and collaborative care environment.
Opportunity:
Physician - Pathology - Anatomic and Clinical
Job Details:
• Work collaboratively with 2 other pathologists in a 3-day rotation schedule
• Handle 200-250 reads per day split between three pathologists
• Manage approximately 30-50 surgical cases and 10 cytology cases per day
• Must be comfortable with grossing specimens - required skill
• Perform FNA and rapid interpretation procedures
• Expect 3-4 hours of grossing every third day
• Case mix includes surgical nephrology, general pathology, GI, breast, hematology (minimal), gyn/non-gyn
• Limited neuro cases (No pediatrics, neuro, or autopsies)
• All heme-path including bone marrow sent to Integrated Oncology
• Day 1: Grossing (40-50 cases), frozen sections (1-4 per week), call coverage (4:30 PM - 8:00 AM)
• Day 2: Read out and order IHC/Special Stains
• Day 3: Cytology support for Bronch suite and cytology case read-outs
• Board certification required with BLS certification
• Ohio medical license or IMLC required
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Work with experienced team of 3 Histotechs, 2 Tech Assistants, and 2 Cytotechnologists
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
