The Clinical Nurse Practitioner will provide psychiatric services to ElevaCare clients.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides all services in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Center and in accord with applicable professional code of ethics.
Provides medication evaluation and medication management services as necessary to meet the needs of the clients.
Assumes management responsibilities for assigned cases.
Participates in all required clinical meetings. Provides to and accepts from colleagues/supervisor feedback and other assistance during consultation process.
Participates in and is responsive to Center quality assurance procedures, cooperates with Center peer review and utilization procedures, and follows established procedures pertaining to the maintenance of accurate and complete clinical records.
Available for evening and weekend work as required by Center needs.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide supervision of Center programs as assigned.
Presents educational material (within limits of experience and educational background) in a variety of public settings to promote community understanding and response to mental health, chemical dependency and/or mental retardation problems as assigned.
Is sensitive and responsive to management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of funding applications, maintenance of various contracts for services, etc. Ability to travel, as position requires.
Perform other work related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL ABILITIES
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

REQUIRED COMMUNICATION/MATHEMATICAL/REASONING SKILLS
Must possess the required level of skills and abilities to read, write, speak, and apply mathematical concepts and sound reasoning to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
Must be able to perform basic operations on a computer within the Windows operating system.
This position requires problem solving skills, critical thinking skills, and the ability to multi-task.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
May be exposed to communicable diseases when working in a health care environment.
The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and outside weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
A minimum of a master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited university/college or equivalent education.
Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner in psychiatry with prescriptive authority and license in Minnesota.
