CT ICU APP Needed in Los Angeles, CA

Start: April

26-week assignment

Schedule: Night Shift, 3 12s. Will work weekends and holidays. 4 weekend days per month (but they would need to be flexible- could be more or less depending on the need). Holidays shared between the other providers (there are 12, down from a full staff of 14 APPs)
Support staff: It’s a 24 bed ICU. There is an intensivist at night, and most night there is also an anesthesia fellow. The APP would cover 12-24 patients, but again there would be at minimum an intensivist and likely a fellow as well.

Role/Responsibility:
- Daily responsibilities: Heart and Lung Transplants. ECMO, VA and VV. Person would not go to the OR, but they do scrub in for the ECMO cannulation and decannulation. They have people who can place lines, so they do not need that.
- Patient population: 18 and above
- Will take an NP/PA
Minimum experience: 2 years minimum required in CVICU/CTICU setting. Some teaching hospital or large hospital experience ideal.
Credentialing timeframe: 6 week timeframe for temp privileges
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Board Certified in Acute Care
