Critical Care APP Needed in GA (will license)

Hi,

I’m currently recruiting experienced **ICU Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants** for a locum tenens opportunity in **Covington/Metro Atlanta, Georgia**. This is a 13-week assignment beginning in January, with multiple providers needed.

**Position Details**

* Location: Covington/Metro Atlanta, GA
* Start: January
* Assignment Length: 13 weeks
* Setting: Hospital – ICU
* Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts; days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum Commitment: 14 shifts per month, including at least 2 weekend shifts
* EMR: Epic
* Average Census: 10–15 patients per APP
* Unit Size: Approximately 18–24 beds, varies by location
* Coverage: Four Metro Atlanta-area ICU locations
* One application covers all sites
* Providers may float between 1–2 locations, but will not float between facilities during the same shift

**Required Experience & Qualifications**

* Board-certified PA or Acute Care NP (ACNP)
* **FNPs will not be considered**
* Minimum 3 years of relevant ICU/critical care experience
* Must be comfortable independently managing critically ill patients
* Active GA license preferred; willing to license qualified candidates
* DEA required
* ACLS and BLS required
* Airway certification required
* Must have completed or be willing to complete a Difficult Airway Course (DAC) or equivalent

**Required Procedures**
Candidates must be comfortable performing:

* Endotracheal intubation
* Central venous catheter (CVL) placement
* Arterial line placement
* Temporary dialysis catheter (Vascath) placement

**Credentialing & Travel**

* Credentialing: Approximately 120 days
* Travel accommodations provided, including flight, rental car, and hotel

**Professional Standards & Expectations**

Providers are expected to complete all daily workflows before the end of each shift, including documentation using the appropriate note templates, orders, and handoff communication.

Any procedure initiated should be completed or appropriately handed off with clear communication to the covering provider. Providers are also expected to see patients promptly based on acuity and unit expectations.

Professional communication and conduct are required at all times when interacting with patients, families, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the care team.

**Dress Code:** Medical scrubs in ceil blue, gray, or black are required at all locations.
