Trauma NP/PA Needed in Oakland, CA
Start Date: August 2026
Contract Length: 6 months ongoing
Schedule:
• Full-time coverage
• Mostly 3x12s, may consider 5x8s
• Mostly day shifts, but some nights required
• Minimum 4 weekend shifts per month
• No call
Practice Details:
• High-acuity Level 1 Trauma Center
• EPIC EMR
• Caring for trauma patients from the ED to the ICU
• Approximately 20–25 patients per day shared with residents
• Involvement in 5–12 trauma activations
• Adult and geriatric patient population
Skills & Experience:
• Trauma and Emergency Department experience required
• Comfortable managing critically ill patients including shock, ACS, and stroke
• Neurosurgery, ortho, ICU, SICU, or ED experience preferred
• Strongly prefer chest tube, art line, and central line experience
Requirements:
• Active CA license required at submission
• CA DEA required
• BLS and ACLS required
• ATLS preferred or willing to obtain within the first year
• Minimum 1 year trauma experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred
Additional Details:
• Hospital setting
• No OR or first assist responsibilities
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60–90 days
