Advanced Practitioners - Critical Care

Job Details:

  • Join a top-tier critical care team as a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in an inpatient critical care setting
  • Practice at the top of your license with opportunities to manage complex patients and perform advanced procedures
  • Part-time 24 hours per week with a day/night rotating schedule, Monday through Sunday
  • No call required
  • Significant responsibility during off-hours with access to intensivist collaboration when needed
  • Perform routine physical examinations and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients
  • Develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, including referrals to other health team members or specialists
  • Provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of practice as designated by protocols
  • Must hold an unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or be eligible)
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in a critical care setting as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required
  • Dedicated support and voice for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants through the Office of Advanced Practice
  • Access to mentorship and orientation programs specially designed for newly hired providers and providers new to practice
  • Continuous development opportunities through The Center for Education Simulation & Innovation (CESI) and a robust on-demand learning platform
