Critical Care APP – Boston, MA

Assignment Details

* Start: January 2027
* Length: 26 weeks
* Setting: ICU
* Facility Type: Teaching Hospital
* Patient Population: Adults
* Beds: 10
* Average Daily Census: 7
* EMR: Epic
* Credentialing: Approximately 90 days

Schedule

* Day shifts: 6:00 AM–7:00 PM
* Night shifts: 6:00 PM–7:00 AM
* Days or nights available
* Minimum: 2 weekend shifts per month
* Ideally 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday)
* Friday night shifts count as weekend coverage
* You do not need to work 3x13s every weekend
* Local providers who can stay in the Boston area are highly preferred

Clinical Details

* APPs function as “responding clinicians”
* Round with the attending in the morning
* Complete clinical tasks throughout the day
* Round again in the afternoon
* Bread-and-butter ICU and Med/Surg experience
* Typically 1–2 burn patients
* No procedures required
* No intubations, lines, ventilator management, transplants, ECHO, head cases, EVDs, or complex neuro/stroke cases

Requirements

* Board Certified Acute Care NP or PA with ICU experience
* 2+ years of critical care experience
* Active Massachusetts license required
* ACLS and BLS
* DEA required
* NPs must already hold an active MA license; client will not wait for NP licensing
* PAs needing a MA license may be considered; licensing typically takes 3–5 weeks and must be initiated before the client can begin the appointment process
