NP Critical Care – Night Shift Locum Tenens – Atlanta, GA Area

Job description

A multi-specialty community hospital in the Atlanta, GA area is seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) for a Critical Care night-shift locum tenens assignment. Local candidates strongly preferred.

Assignment Details:
- Bill rate: $175.00/hour (OT additional)
- Full-time Night Shift: three 12-hour shifts weekly
- EMR: Cerner

Responsibilities:
- Managing critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU
- APP-to-patient ratio of 10-15 ICU patients per APP (with attending MD available)
- Collaborate with attending physicians on plan of care
- Conduct ongoing assessments and implement interventions
- Order entry and full documentation (H&Ps, consultations, follow-up and procedure notes)
- Interpret diagnostic testing
- Multi-disciplinary rounds each shift
- Perform invasive procedures: central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers) and arterial lines (per hospital credentialing)

Qualifications:
- Acute Care NP with prior ICU experience required
