Critical Care NP/PA Needed in Metro Atlanta/Augusta, GA:
Start Date: December 2026
Contract Length: 26 weeks (flexible) with extension potential
Schedule
3x12-hour shifts (days, nights, and weekends)
Minimum of 14 shifts per month
Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per month
Shift times vary by location:
6:00 AM–6:00 PM
6:00 PM–6:00 AM
12:00 PM–12:00 AM
2:00 PM–2:00 AM
No call
Work Details
Float between 1–2 ICU locations in the metro Atlanta/Augusta area (4 total facilities supported; providers will not float to multiple facilities on the same day)
ICU practice setting
Independently manage critically ill patients
Average 10–15 patients per APP
ICU units range from 18–24 beds
EMR: Epic
Procedures include:
Endotracheal intubation
Central venous catheter (CVL) placement
Arterial line placement
Temporary dialysis catheter (Vascath) placement
Requirements
Board Certified Physician Assistant (Critical Care)
ACNPs also accepted (no FNPs)
Active Georgia license (facility is willing to license)
DEA required
BLS required
ACLS required
Airway certification (DAC – Difficult Airway Course or equivalent) required or willingness to complete
Minimum 3 years of ICU/Critical Care experience
Epic experience required
Must be comfortable independently managing critically ill patients
Practice Setting
Hospital ICU
Float Pool
Multiple metro Atlanta/Augusta locations
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 120 days
