CVICU Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant – Night Shift Locums Opportunity in Tennessee

Schedule

Monday–Friday nights
9:00 PM–7:00 AM
CVICU and floor coverage
No operating room responsibilities

Assignment Details

Cardiovascular ICU coverage
Approximately 8–15 patients per shift
Manage pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients
Patient population includes CABG, valve replacement, Type A aortic dissection, aortic aneurysm, and cardiac tumor cases
Experience with VA/VV ECMO, Impella, and IABP required
Responsibilities include progress notes, consultations, and H&Ps
Support includes an on-call CV surgeon, primary surgeon, in-house hospitalist, and in-house NP intensivist

Procedural Skills Preferred

Intubation
Arterial line placement
Central venous line placement
Chest tube placement
Thoracentesis

Requirements

Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Active Tennessee license required
ACLS and BLS
3+ years of cardiac surgery/CVICU experience
