Opportunity Details
Location: Virginia
Start Date:
• As soon as credentialed
Schedule:
• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 8:00 AM
• Client is seeking a provider who can remain in Roanoke for the duration of the assignment
Practice Details:
• 12-bed Cardiac Surgery ICU
• 733-bed hospital
• Adult patient population
• 6–12 patients per day plus consults
• 1–2 providers per shift
• EPIC EMR
Clinical Responsibilities:
• Manage patients recovering from complex cardiothoracic surgeries including CABG, valve surgery, thoracic surgery, and aortic surgery
• Collaborate with physicians and APPs in the management of ECMO, LVADs, RVADs, Impella devices, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies
• Respond to emergent and critical situations
• Deliver high-quality perioperative and critical care management
Procedural Opportunities:
• Bronchoscopy
• Central venous catheter placement
• Arterial line insertion
• Chest tube management
• Central lines, arterial lines, and dialysis catheters
Requirements:
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Cardiac Surgery ICU experience required
• Strong critical care background
• Surgical experience not required
• Comfortable practicing in a fast-paced ICU environment with a high level of autonomy
