Critical Care NP/PA Opportunity in California | Level I Trauma Center
Job description
Opportunity Highlights:
• Full-time schedule with flexible 12-hour or 8-hour shift options
• Work across ED, ICU, and inpatient settings in a top trauma center
• No call required with strong multidisciplinary support
Opportunity Details:
• Location: California
• Schedule: 3x12s (may consider 5x8s) with required weekend coverage (minimum 4 shifts per month)
• Shifts: Primarily days with some night coverage needed
• Setting: Hospital-based, Level I Trauma Center
Work Details:
• Patient Volume: 20–25 patients per day (shared with resident), ~20 clinic patients daily
• Patient Population: All ages (typically 15–101)
• Responsibilities: Manage critically ill trauma patients from ED through ICU and floor
• Exposure: Trauma activations, shock, ACS, stroke, neurosurgery, and orthopedic cases
• EMR: EPIC
Requirements:
• NP or PA with minimum 1+ year of trauma experience
• Level I trauma experience strongly preferred
• Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes preferred
• ICU, ED, neurosurgery, or ortho experience a plus
• Active CA license required at time of submission
• DEA (CA) required
• BLS and ACLS required
• Must be willing to obtain ATLS within 1 year
Credentialing timeframe is approximately 60–90 days.
