Locum- NP/ PA- Critical Care Needed in Boston, MA

LOCUM PA – ICU | FIXED

✓ Setting: Teaching Hospital – ICU
✓ Schedule: 6 AM–7 PM or 6 PM–7 AM
✓ Weekend Coverage: Required; Friday nights count as weekend coverage
✓ Patient Population: Adults
✓ Average Census: 7 patients | 10 ICU beds
✓ EMR: Epic

ROLE

✓ Responding clinician supporting the ICU team
✓ Round with the attending in the morning, complete clinical tasks, and round again in the afternoon
✓ Collaborate with 4 APPs on staff
✓ Some independence preferred
✓ No APP billing

CLINICAL SCOPE

✓ Bread-and-butter ICU and Med-Surg patients
✓ 1–2 burn patients
✓ No intubations, lines, ventilators, transplants, ECHOs, head cases, EVDs, or complex neuro-stroke cases
✓ No procedures required

REQUIREMENTS

✓ Acute Care Board Certification with ICU experience
✓ Active Massachusetts license required
✓ ACLS & BLS
✓ DEA required
✓ 2+ years of critical care experience

CREDENTIALING & LOGISTICS

✓ Credentialing: approximately 90 days
✓ Local candidates strongly preferred
✓ No travel provided
✓ Candidates should be able to commute by car, train, or subway
✓ First 8 hours of orientation are non-billable
