Critical Care Opportunity – California

Start Date: September 2026
Coverage Needed: Providers must be available to cover September 19–25. Additional PRN coverage opportunities will be available thereafter.
Schedule: Day shifts only, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Work Details:
• Adult patient population
• Academic and hospital-based practice setting
• EPIC EMR
• Average census of 5–9 patients per day
• Strong support structure with physician leadership, residents, hospitalists, emergency physicians, and backup coverage available 24/7
• Perform bread-and-butter critical care procedures including intubations, central lines, chest tubes, thoracentesis, lumbar punctures, and more
• Modern equipment and technology available, including ultrasound and guided scopes
• Excellent communication skills required

Requirements:
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care or Internal Medicine
• Surgical board certifications will not be considered
• Active California license required
• California DEA required
• AHA BLS required
• Minimum 3–5 years of attending-level experience
• Prior locums experience required
• Must be able to cover September 19–25 and at least three shift blocks
