Schedule:
• Night shifts: 7:00 PM–8:00 AM
• Includes weekends and holidays
• Occasional weekend day shifts: 7:00 AM–8:00 PM
• No scheduled call
Clinical Details:
• 34-bed department: 16-bed ICU and 18-bed Intermediate Care Unit
• Average of 12 patients per day, with 5–6 admissions
• ICU and intermediate care coverage, critical care consultations, and management of critically ill patients
• Procedures include intubation, central and arterial line placement, chest tubes, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and lumbar puncture
• Support staff includes APPs, RNs, respiratory therapists, and subspecialty consultants
• Epic EMR
