This healthcare facility is a well-established medical center providing comprehensive critical care services to the Southeast Missouri region. The facility features a 14-bed ICU and 12-bed CTU with advanced medical technology and a collaborative healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine

Job Details:
• Provide critical care coverage for 14-bed ICU and 12-bed CTU with 8-14 patient encounters per shift
• 12-hour in-house day shifts (7a-7p) with no call responsibilities
• Coverage schedule: 7 days on and 7 days off, 1-2 weeks per month
• Specific coverage dates needed: 7/1-7/5 and 7/25-7/26
• Must have active Missouri medical license with clean malpractice and NPDB history
• Board certification required with ATLS certification
• Perform critical care procedures including intubation, arterial lines, and central lines
• Manage ventilated patients with invasive and non-invasive ventilation
• Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including chest tube insertion and bronchoscopy
• Handle acute volume and blood pressure management
• Perform specialized procedures such as PA catheter insertion and IABP placement
• Conduct diagnostic taps including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
• Provide ICP evaluation and management
• Credentialing timeframe: 2-3 weeks
