Job description

We are seeking Board-Certified Critical Care physicians (or Pulmonary/Critical Care) for an upcoming inpatient locums opportunity in Tennessee. This role offers steady night shifts, strong support, and hands-on procedural work in a high-acuity setting.

Position Highlights

Consistent Night Coverage: 12-hour shifts (6p–6a) with no call required.

High-Acuity Critical Care: Manage ~25 patients/night with procedural work including arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and more.

Strong Support Team: Work alongside one MD, one APP, and potentially a Fellow in an Epic EMR environment.

Position Details

Coverage Dates: December 29 – January 3 (6p–6a)

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts; no call

Setting: Inpatient critical care

Patient Population: Adults

Patient Volume: ~25 per shift

Procedures: Arterial line, chest tube, central line, thoracentesis, paracentesis, lumbar punctures, vent management

Support Staff: One MD, one APP, possibly a Fellow

EMR: Epic

Requirements

Board Certification: Critical Care required (Pulmonary/CC accepted if dual BC)

Licensure: Active TN license (no licensing support)

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TN DEA, TN CSR

Experience: Minimum 2 years + procedural competency

Other: NPI + name clear; vaccines required (MMR, flu, TB or chest x-ray)

Credentialing: 60–90 days; temps possible with clean file
