Utah Critical Care Locums - Day Coverage With Overnight Call

Job description

I am working with a Utah hospital seeking a Board-Certified Critical Care physician for ongoing locum coverage.
The schedule includes 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM in-house coverage followed by 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM overnight call. The physician must be able to respond within 30 minutes if called back to the hospital, with approximately one overnight admission per night. The current need may support up to 30 shifts per month.
Average daily patient volume is approximately 12. The ICU is fully staffed with nurses, technicians and other hospital support.
The physician should be comfortable with a broad procedural Critical Care scope including airway management, central and arterial lines, dialysis catheter placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, bronchoscopy and chest tube insertion.
An active Utah medical license, DEA, ACLS and Board Certification are required.
