PoOSITION SUMMARY

This position requires an experienced pathologist for surgical pathology and cytopathology sign out.

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS

Specialty: Pathology

Setting: Pathology Department

Duties: Surgical pathology and cytopathology

Types of Cases: Approximately 20–30 pathology cases per day

Days per Month: 20

Required Procedures: None

Support Staff: Yes

EMR System: Cerner LIS / CoPath pathology information system

Reason for Coverage: Shortage of pathologists

Schedule & Availability

Start Date: March 2026

Orientation Dates: March 26–27

Shift Type: Days

Shift Times: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Schedule: Monday–Friday weekly, February–August 2026

Weekend Requirements: None

On-Call Requirements: Depends on provider’s skill set; no call for now

COMPESATIONS

Default Rate Type: Hourly

Hourly Rate: $300– $330 Per hour, not OT

Holiday Rate:

Must be 1.5× the hourly rate

Per holiday hour, no OT

Orientation Rate: Paid

Half the hourly/callback rate

Kicks in after 8 hours

Per hour of orientation or training beyond 8 hours

Malpractice: Covered
Travel & Lodging

Travel Exceptions:Covered

Credentialing Information

Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 3 months

Credentialing with Other Facilities: No

Requirements

Board Certified: Required

Residency/Fellowship: Required

WA State License: Highly preferred
