MRI Technologist (ARRT-MR) – Diagnostic Imaging Technician - MRI
Job description
Key Responsibilities
Perform high-quality MRI examinations following physician orders and established imaging protocols.
Operate MRI equipment safely while maintaining compliance with MRI safety standards and facility policies.
Screen patients and all personnel entering MRI restricted areas to ensure safe imaging practices.
Position patients appropriately and adjust imaging parameters to obtain diagnostic-quality studies.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures and provide education regarding the examination process.
Process and transmit digital images for interpretation by radiologists.
Accurately document imaging procedures within the electronic medical record and radiology systems.
Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and recognize adverse reactions or medical emergencies.
Perform routine quality assurance and equipment checks in accordance with manufacturer recommendations and facility requirements.
Identify imaging artifacts or equipment issues and coordinate maintenance through appropriate government channels.
Support MRI safety education for healthcare personnel as requested.
Follow all Military Treatment Facility policies, infection control standards, and patient privacy requirements.
Qualifications
Education
Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program or approved equivalent pathway.
Certification and Credentials
Current certification and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Diagnostic Radiographer [R] and Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist [MR].
Current BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA or American Red Cross).
U.S. Citizenship required.
Experience
Minimum one (1) year of MRI experience within the past two years.
Experience performing diagnostic MRI procedures in a hospital or outpatient imaging environment preferred.

- Day Shift (Clinic Hours: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
