Job description
Opportunity: Diagnostic Radiologist (Evening Shifts – Remote Optional)
We’re seeking a diagnostic radiologist to support our team at Long Beach Medical Center starting July 1st. This is a critical need, and we’re moving quickly to credential candidates. The role offers flexibility and the option to work remotely, provided you have a clean California medical license.
Work Schedule
Evening Shift: 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM
Schedule: 7 days on, 14 days off (1 week on / 2 weeks off)
If availability is limited to 1 week per month, we’re open to making that work
Start Date: July 1st
Location: Remote work is available after a brief onsite period for setup and observation
Onboarding Requirements
Must be onsite for a few weekday shifts for:
System setup and training
Quality review and approval before beginning remote work
Once approved, shifts can be worked remotely from anywhere (within or outside California)
Clinical Expectations
Read Volume: ~80 studies on weekdays, 150–180 on weekends
wRVUs: ~14,000 annually per adult diagnostic radiologist
Modalities Covered: A balanced mix of CT, MRI, ultrasound, and plain films
Higher volume in CT and plain films
No nuclear medicine, cardiac, or breast imaging
Shift Expectations: Full 9-hour shift with all studies from the shift completed (no carryover to day shift)
Ideal Candidate
Strong general diagnostic radiologist, preferably with a body imaging background
Comfortable with a high-volume caseload and a wide mix of modalities
Able to work independently with consistent quality
