Assignment Dates: December 22 – December 31 (option to continue on a PRN basis afterward)
Schedule:
Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM (9 hours)
Weekend Call: Saturday–Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM (24-hour period)
Weeknight Call: 8:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Role Overview:
Seeking a Double Board-Certified Diagnostic & Pediatric Radiologist to provide inpatient coverage during the dates listed above, with flexibility for future PRN shifts. The position includes interpreting pediatric inpatient and emergency studies, with an emphasis on plain films (approximately 85%) and some ultrasound, CT, and MRI (about 15%).
Weekend Call Details:
Responsible for pediatric inpatient and ER studies between 8 AM – 6 PM (no nuclear medicine).
Initial morning load takes about 3 continuous hours; thereafter, cases come in intermittently every 30–60 minutes.
Radiologist may be called for urgent pediatric fluoroscopic procedures (non-interventional).
After 6 PM, coverage continues for inpatient consults until 11 PM when overnight teleradiology takes over.
Average weekend call volume: 60–80 studies per day.
Weeknight Call Details:
Covers inpatient consults from 8 PM – 11 PM.
Responsible for any emergent pediatric fluoroscopic procedures overnight.
Requirements:
Board certified in both Diagnostic Radiology & Pediatric Radiology
Active, unrestricted California license
Fellowship in Pediatric Radiology (accredited program)
Experience with Epic (inpatient EMR)
DEA and BLS or ACLS certification
Minimum 1 year of experience (3+ preferred)
Clean background (no malpractice or disciplinary actions) — required for emergency privileging
